Ronalie B. Rafael is a Filipino, born on February 18, 1984. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry in 2004 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, both at Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Philippines. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the College of Veterinary Science and Medicine, Central Luzon State University. She's been serving in the academe since 2011. At present, she is pursuing her masters degree on Veterinary Medicine, Major in Microbiology at the University of the Philippines-Los Banos. She is also currently working on her thesis entitled: "Development of RT-LAMP assay on Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus Field Strain in the Philippines". Among her previous research involvement are: (1) Development of Diagnostic and Management Protocols for Intramammary Infections in Goats, (2) Prebiotics and Probiotics in Nile Tilapia Culture and (3) In-depth Outbreak investigation and Conduct a Complete Differential on Poultry Mortalities Occurring in the Philippines, where she served as project staff. The former two researches are both funded by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development while the latter by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Ms. Rafael also presented her research outputs in various professional fora and has attended several seminars, workshops and training related to her chosen field.
Despite these accomplishments, Ms. Rafael believes that teaching is a continuous learning process, thus she still yearns for advanced education and more opportunities to do worthwhile researches that could help the society and also partake to the achievement of CLSU's prime vision: to become a world-class National Research University for science and technology in agriculture and allied fields.
