Biography
Veterinary pathologist and animal health leader with over 19 years of experience in national disease surveillance, veterinary laboratory management (ISO/IEC 17025), and interinstitutional coordination. Proven record in international collaboration (Europe and Latin America), animal welfare governance, and translational research. Experienced in diagnostics, public sector strategy, and postgraduate education. My main research focuses on host-pathogen interactions in ruminants. Currently a postdoctoral researcher in the UK working on the pathogenesis of avian Chlamydia abortus strains.

Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Moredun Research Institute, working on a BBSRC-funded Chlamydia project that combines histopathology, molecular techniques, and applied research to improve animal health.
