Workshops

IVVN have hosted a number of successful face-to-face workshops and we have adapted many of our activities to online events due to the disruption caused by Covid-19. We are aware of the time involved in organising and hosting a workshop and to mitigate this, IVVN would like to provide IVVN members with support to host an online workshop during 2022.

Support is available for IVVN members to host workshops on a specific topic related to their research interests and the remit of the IVVN. Online workshops should provide a platform for a focused exchange among researchers interested in a specific topic/challenge, allow IVVN members to share results of a particular project, or explore opportunities for novel collaborations.

IVVN will manage the logistical and technical aspects of the workshop, including managing registrations, promoting the event using our communication channels, providing a suitable online platform and ensuring smooth delivery of the workshop. With the support of IVVN, we expect workshop hosts to create the programme for the workshop, liaise with speakers and chair the workshop.

Applicants must be members of the IVVN (registration is available here), and we particularly welcome applications from members who are Early Career Researchers and/or based in low-and-middle income countries (LMICs).

Please complete the IVVN Online Workshop Application Form and send to IVVN [at] roslin [dot] ed [dot] ac [dot] uk by 28 February 2022. If you have any queries about the call, please email IVVN [at] roslin [dot] ed [dot] ac [dot] uk.
