Catalyst Funding

The IVVN's catalyst funding comprises two types of funding programmes:

  • Pump-priming funding (up to £100,000) is awarded to proposals that demonstrate how integrated collaborative work between multiple Network members could effectively tackle key bottlenecks in veterinary vaccine development of relevance to low- and middle-income countries.
  • Laboratory exchange funding (up to £10,000) is provided where Network members have identified how training or transfer of technological capacity from one group to another, or completion of a specialised piece of work, could facilitate a ‘step-change’ in the capacity to address a scientific challenge to vaccine research and development.

We also run a programme of mentoring fellowships to support women postdoctoral researchers in low- and middle-income countries.

Applicants to all funding streams must be members of the IVVN to apply for funding. Please register to become a member here.
