International Veterinary Vaccinology Network Conference 2024

The International Veterinary Vaccinology Network (IVVN) Conference 2024 will be hosted in partnership with the Biotechnology Center at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 9 and 10 November. 

This conference will serve as a unique opportunity for the global veterinary vaccinology community to come together, share knowledge and foster international collaborations that are essential for the development of vaccines for livestock and zoonotic diseases in low-and-middle income countries (LMICs). 

The conference program will include presentations by invited speakers, talks based on abstract submissions, networking sessions, and a poster session.

The Four Key Themes of the Conference

    Theme 1: Vaccines for Swine

    Chair: Dr Vish Nene (International Livestock Research Institute, Kenya)
    Co-Chair: Dr Filip Claes (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Thailand)

      Title: Self-boosting Vaccine Microneedle Technology
    Theme 2: Vaccines for Poultry

    Chair: Prof Fiona Tomley (Royal Veterinary College, London)
    Co-Chair: Prof Pham Thi Ngoc (National Institute of Veterinary Research, Nigeria)

    Theme 3: Vaccines for Aquaculture

    Chair: Dr Thao Phuong Huynh Ngo (Biotechnology Center of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

    Theme 4: Veterinary Immunology

    Chair:  Dr Crystal Loving

    Speakers:

    1. Assoc. Prof. Justin Taylor (University of Virginia, United States)
         Title: Identification and Analysis of B cells Specific for Vaccine Antigens

    Speed Science: A Networking & Social Event for Early Career Researchers (ECRs)

    Taking place on the evening of 8th November, the event is a unique blend of an engaging networking session and relaxed socialising opportunity, crafted to empower ECRs and foster meaningful connections.. More details coming soon – stay tuned. 

    Abstract Submission (Closed)

    We invite submissions of abstracts for consideration for poster or oral presentations. Please submit your completed abstract submission form (in Word format) to IVVN at IVVN [at] roslin [dot] ed [dot] ac [dot] uk by Monday, 15 July 2024. 

    Travel Information

    You may book your stay at the Rex Hotel to benefit from special conference rates. Simply request the conference rate when making your reservation. Additionally, buses will be avaliable from the Rex Hotel to transport delegates to and from the Biotechnology Center each day (timings to be confirmed).
