Research Assistant, Mycobacteria Group

Part-time, 18.5 hours a week.
The Moredun Group is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to join the Vaccines and Diagnostics Department at its Moredun Research Institute. You will provide technical support to the Mycobacteria group, developing new diagnostics, monitoring of animal and environmental samples for mycobacteria to improve disease control strategies as well as supporting Institute infrastructure initiatives.
Experience required
You will have:
- As a minimum an HND in a Biological Science or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a diagnostic or research laboratory.
- Experience of aseptic technique and pathogen enumeration.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards of quality assurance.
- Good IT skills.
