I am a professionally qualified veterinarian from Nepal with 8 years of experience as a practitioner and researcher in veterinary medicine. Since 2012, I have been working in Nepal Agricultural Research Council as a Veterinary Scientist in Animal Health Research Division. My research studies are primarily focused on zoonotic and infectious diseases. At present, I am a PhD scholar in Preventive Veterinary Medicine at The Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GSCAAS), Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute (LVRI), China.
Some of my previous works include: Detection of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae in pigs of Nepal by ELISA (As PI), Screening for Nipah Virus Infections in Pigs of Nepal (as PI). I am very enthusiastic and keen on working for animals. I have also worked as a Co-PI for the zoonosis control project where we worked on zoonotic diseases like Brucellosis, Leptospirosis, Trichinellosis, Japanese Encephalitis, Avian Influenza and cysticercosis. At present, I am basically involved in Molecular biology and virology related projects.
