Biography

I am a computational biologist (Genome evolution & population genetics). My current research projects rely on the most up to date next generation sequencing technologies, their applications in aquaculture, and principles and methodologies for the analysis of genomic and transcriptomic large datasets using bioinformatic methods, algorithm, and databases.

Research interests

I have a number of research interests, including:
 - Seaweeds farming programmes;
 - Evolution and conservation of sex chromosomes;
 - Drug resistance mechanisms;
 - Genome Sequencing and characterisation of highly virulent bacterial strain;
 - Genetic diversity and connectivity of marine organisms;
 - Gene and genome duplications.
