Biography

After completing his DVM, Nitin conducted a PhD research project on development of virus-like particle (VLP) based vaccines for control and prevention of infectious bronchitis virus in chickens. He continued his research career as a research associate at OIE referral laboratory for avian influenza in Bhopal, India.  During his tenure in South Korea, he has worked on development of live bacterial vaccine vector system for developing vaccines against Avian Influenza. He also studied immunological responses underlying protective immunity induced by vaccination in chickens and mice model. In 2016, he moved to The Pirbright Institute and he is studying the role of innate immunity in the control of Marek’s disease and avian leukosis virus disease in chickens
