Biography

I am a chilean Biochemist from the Faculty of Chemist and Biology from the University of Santiago of Chile and I am currently doing my PhD in Germany, in the Federal Research Institut Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut. Since the beginning I was interested in Comparative Immunology as I like the challenge means working in this field. For this reason, after I finished my studies,  I continued as a research assistant  in the fish immune system area and in 2015 I became the Biochemist in charge of 2 projects for fish B and T lymphocytes. So since 2011 until now, I worked in different projects related to the identification and functional characterization of the trout and salmon immune system which let me acquire experience in protein expression, polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies production and maintaining , fish cells culture, challenge assays with virus and bacteria and the posterior rational evaluation of different immune parameters by techniques as PCR, ELISA, Western Blot, and the most important , working with fish leukocytes in Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting with an appropriate software analysis.
