Biography
Dr. Javed Ahmed Ujan is a renowned academician and US Fulbright scholar at the University of Florida. He specializes in Animal genetics, breeding, and reproductive sciences. His research focuses on integrating genomics with phenomics to predict feed-efficient cattle. Dr. Ahmed has authored a book, a book chapter, popular articles, and over 100 research papers in internationally reputed journals. He has mentored 20 MS/M.Phil. scholars and 2 PhDs in his field. Dr. Javed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Pakistan. He possesses more than 12 years of experience in teaching and research at SALU Khairpur. He has also served as Chairman of the Department of Zoology since March 30, 2022, and has received several awards, including the Young Scientist Award from the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS). He holds a Ph.D. in Animal Genetics, Breeding, & Reproduction Sciences from Northwest A & F University, China, and received his master's degree from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.

As a US Fulbright visiting postdoc, I am working at the University of Florida in the US from May 2023 to May 2024 on a project called "Integrating genomics with phenomics to predict feed-efficient cattle."
