Biography

I am a Gambian national and currently working in The Gambia. I hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master's degree in Veterinary Microbiology (MVSc). I have more than 10 years experience in Virology, Molecular Biology and Microbiology at the Medical Research council Unit The Gambia.

Research interests

I am mainly interested in Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) that affects both human and animals (Zoonotic). I am also passionate about developing of rapid diagnostic kits (RDT) or point of care testing in our settings. This will always reduce unnecessary prescription of antibiotics or empirical treatment thereby reducing the tendency for antibiotic resistance as well.
