Biography

I am a Product Innovation Specialist for the Australian Veterinary Vaccine Manufacturer, Bioproperties Pty Ltd. Our Research and Development Division is based at RMIT Univeristy. My specific area of interest is bacterial virulence mechanisms and vaccine design and construction for the control of bacterial pathogens relevant to livestock animals and public health. I completed my PhD at RMIT (A Molecular Investigation of Campylobacter jejuni pathogenesis) and am trained as a Molecular Bacteriologist. I held Post-Doctoral positions at The University of Melbourne, School of Veterinary Science, and the CSIRO Australian Animal Health Laboratory. I continue to work at the interface of academic research and industry and guest lecture for RMIT University on the commercialisation and product pipeline of veterinary vaccine development.
