Biography

Dr. Muhammad Zubair Shabbir is a microbiologist (Assistant Professor) at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore Pakistan. He received doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) degree with distinction (Bronze Medalist) in 2006, M. Phil in Microbiology in 2008 and doctorate in in the same subject in 2013. Soon after undergraduate, from 2006 onward, Dr. Shabbir is associated with his mother institute and is involved in academics and research activities in collaboration with a number of national and international institutes across the globe. During the time, also he has completed various fellowships, internships, and trainings on infection epidemiology, disease diagnostics, bioinformatics, and genomic characterization of pathogens. Dr Shabbir is committed to continue in area of his background research capabilities or expertise that includes but not limited to surveillance and epidemiology of infectious diseases, and molecular characterization of pathogens of veterinary and public health importance particularly Paramyxoviruses and Orthomyxoviruses and challenge-protection experiment to unleash effectiveness of currnetly used vaccine regimens agianst the field prevailing vriuses .
