Biography

Dr Linh graduated as a veterinary medicine from Vietnam National University of Agriculture in 1993. She was employed as researcher in parasitology department at National Institute of Veterinary Research and promoted to be head of Parasitology Department in 2004. During this time, she was focus on Fasciolosis research in cattle. She was sent to Australia for training in diagnosis of Fasciolosis in 1995 and 2000.
In 2005, she decided to have her PhD in Japan about immune response in parasitic disease at Yamaguchi University. After came back to her home country, she has invited to be a lecturer in Vietnam National University of Agriculture and promoted to be head of parasitology department in 2017 at Vietnam National University of Agriculture. Her main research interest is coccidiosis and parasite zoonotic diseases.

Research interests

Dr. linh has worked on protozoan parasites (Eimeria species) in mouse model with a focus on how they recognise and invade the gut of  mice,  and the interaction with host immune mediators in coinfected host  with helminth parasite.  She is also involved in efforts to develop more effective control of  tick and tick borne diseases. She has applied genomic, proteomic and recombinant technologies for Eimeria parasites and has a strong interest in the development of new types of vaccines for chicken Eimeriosis and tick.
