Biography

Prof. Dr. Shyam Narayan Labh is the Senior Fulbright Research Scholar and Visiting Professor at Aquaculture Research Institute (ARI), University of Idaho, USA in 2019; a permanent faculty and Head of Research Management Cell, Department of Zoology at Amrit Science Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu and has been teaching Biology/Fisheries/Aquaculture since three decades plus. He has obtained his Ph. D. in Fish Nutrition from University of Delhi and D. Sc. in Nutrigenomics from ICAR-CIFE, Versova, Mumbai. He is the Founder Fellow and the President of Nepal Aquaculture Society (FNAS), Senior Member of Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES, UK), Fellow of Blue Planet Society (FBPS), Fellow of Zoological Society India (FZSI) and Fellow of The Linnaean Society of London (FLS). Prof. Labh has received SAARC Fellowship (2004), Nepal Vidya Bhushan Padak-“A” (2010), Dirgha-Seva Padak (2012) and NAST-INSA Fellowship (2015). Prof. Labh has been decorated by Prof. Dr. VRP Sinha Gold Medal (2016) by Karnataka University, Prof. Dr. Dutta Munshi Gold Medal (2017) by Kurukshetra University and Life-Time Achievement Award (2018) by Allahabad State University. Prof. (Dr.) Labh is a Resourceful analyst with a powerful combination of research and development at high level technological skills and Knowledgeable Leader with a proven ability to provide timely and effective solutions which meet any institution needs and always work as a useful and dynamic think tank for any organization.

Fish Nutrition and Fish Health; Nutraceuticals, Nutrigenomics and Molecular Biodiversity, Animal Physiology, Biochemistry and Fish Feed Formulations etc.
