Biography

I am currently an assistant lecturer at African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS-Senegal) located in Mbour, Senegal. AIMS-Senegal is a pan-African network of Centres of Excellence for post-graduate training, research and public engagement in mathematics with a mission to lead the transformation of Africa through innovative scientific training, technological advances, breakthrough discoveries, strategic foresight and innovative policy design.  Along with a completion of my PhD in Statistics with application to Epidemiology and Survival analysis at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar, I possess another Masters degree in Project Management with a specialization in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). I have significant professional and academic experience at country and regional level in collecting, disaggregating, matching, consolidating of various aspect of data to assure the quality of the relevance and validity of statistical information for dissemination. I have the ability to develop new or revise existing statistical methods and quantitative models for analyses and estimates. In my PhD project, I worked on variable selection in Cox hazard regression with frailty model in high dimensional data setting. My research has known two publications published in peer reviewed journals.    

Research interests

My research interests lie between Biostatistics, modeling infectious diseases and neglected tropical diseases.
