Biography

Dr ONI obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees from University of Ibadan. He is a lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria. Dr Oni has received several awards for outstanding academic performance and excellent research output. He was awarded the Luxembourg’s Recherche micobiologique pour le development research and training fellowship in 2011. Bill and Melinda Gates travel awards in 2012, 2015 and 2018 for outstanding research work on double stranded RNA viruses, VaxHub award to attend Human and Veterinary Vaccinology Course at University of Oxford in 2019. His research interest is in the area of livestock diseases and he has co-authored over 30 research publications in local and foreign peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Oni also serves as resource person for radio programs, veterinary associations and livestock disease diagnostic companies.

Vaccinology, Seromonitoring, sero-surveillance, livestock disease diagnosis, prevention and control.
