Biography
Aquaculture has been going through dramatic developments in production and species diversification in the last few years and this intensification has been driven towards different issues. Among those, the main interest of my research is disease (stress and pathology) problem, immunology and possible solutions (vaccine development, exploring microbiome-host interractions) associated with important aquaculture species. As a candidate with good academic records, communication skills as well as research experiences in a relevant field of aquaculture, I am interested in health and environmental issues of farmed aquaculture species. I have completed a Joint Master degree (EM JMD ACES) under Erasmus Mundus Scholarship through three different world-renowned universities (UHI-(SAMS), UK; UoC, Greece and UoN, France) which is promisingly a gateway for me in global aquaculture research perspective and network as well. Recently, I have also completed my PhD from Swansea University in the UK through a fully funded Commonwealth Scholarship on fish behaviour and microbiome. Also, I have been serving as a faculty (full-time Professor) in a public University; Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) in Bangladesh since 2013 with a motive to serve the nation
