Dr. Caroline GUITTRE holds a DVM and a PhD in Microbiology. She further studied Epidemiology, Immunology and Statistics at the University. Since 1995, she is an expert in immunological products at the French agency for veterinary medicinal products - French agency for food, environmental and occupational health safety. She is a senior assessor of marketing authorisation dossiers of immunological products at national and European levels.

From 1995 to 1999, she was member of Group 15V of EDQM. Since May 1999, she is the French expert of the Immunological Working Party of the EMA (European Medicines Agency) and Rapporteur of many guidelines. She was member of Ad hoc group at EFSA (tuberculosis and bluetongue).

She has participated to the auditing of the French public laboratories involved in the official control of vaccines and to inspection of the French manufacturers of vaccines. She is involved in other activities such as training for assessors of European countries and outside EU.
