Biography

Dr. Aijian Qin is a Professor (since 2000) in Yangzhou University; Dean (2000-2013) in College of Veterinary Medicine, Yangzhou University; Associate Director (2009-2015) of the Avian Disease Control Panel, Academic Committee of Prevention and Control of Major Animal Infectious Diseases of China; Director (since 2010) of Ministry of Education Key Lab for Avian Preventive Medicine and Director (since 2000) of Key Laboratory of Preventive Veterinary Medicine of Jiangsu, China. He was a visiting scholar in virology lab, RMIT, Australia (1995-1996) and ADOL USDA, USA (1998-1999). He got an AAAP poster award in 1999 (USA) and Certificate Merit (2004, USDA) He holds a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine (Jiangsu Agricultural College, 1982), a Master degree in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (Jiangsu Agricultural College, 1987), a PhD in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (Yangzhou University, 1999). In the past more than 30 years, he focuses his research on virology and control of avian infectious diseases. He has published over 200 papers on animal pathogens control.
