Biography
        Dr Aijian Qin is a professor and director of the Key Laboratory of Avian Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Education at Yangzhou University. He is also the vice chairman of the Poultry Disease Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. He was the Dean (2000-2013) in College of Veterinary Medicine, Yangzhou University, a deputy leader (2009-2015) of the poultry disease expert group of the National Animal Epidemic Prevention Expert Committee. He was a visiting scholar in virology laboratory, RMIT, Australia (1995-1996) and ADOL USDA, USA (1998-1999). He got an AAAP poster award in 1999 in USA and Certificate Merit (2004, USDA). He hold a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine (1982, Jiangsu Agricultural College), a Master degree (1987) and a PhD in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (1999, Yangzhou University). He Received 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 6 first and second prizes of provincial and ministerial level Science and Technology Progress Award, published over 200 academic papers, authorized more than 30 national invention patents. His research mainly focuses on the control of avian infectious diseases.  Research interests
