My name is Dr Ockiya, Asebake Michael, Nigerian, Male, born 01/09/71. I hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine(DVM) and a Masters of Veterinary Science degrees from the University of Ibadan in 1998 and 2005 respectively. I am an academic with the Department of Animal Science, Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State Nigeria. My research in interest is in Avian Medicine with a bias for Avian molecular virology. I also have a vested interest in Avian viral metagenomics and bioinformatics. I have attended a couple of both physical and online trainings in bioinformatics and genomics. I am currently undergoing training in bioinformatics and vaccine design. I am married with two children.
