Biography

Throughout my career so far, I have gained a comprehensive range of relevant laboratory skills, plus more
specialised molecular biology experience. I have been fortunate to have an insight in to different areas of
research, and have therefore been able to develop an interest specifically in infectious diseases. I am highly
inquisitive, analytical, and passionate about biological science. With past project management experiences,
I feel that I am well suited for a challenging PhD research. I am very keen to advance my career and apply
my experience into a research project looking to improve our understandings on epidemiology of infectious
diseases, particularly on H9N2 (an economically important low pathogenic avian influenza virus), for better
poultry welfare, health and production.
