Biography

Deimante Lukosaityte is a PhD student at The Pirbright Institute in avian influenza virus group. Her project aims to develop passive immunisation approaches against avian influenza virus. Deimante's work focuses on recombinant antibody production and characterisation. She is also interested in how viral vectors could be used as an alternative delivery vehicle for protective antibodies.

She is registered with the University of Edinburgh. Before starting her PhD studentship Deimante went to Imperial College London for her MSc and the University of Essex for undergraduate studies.

Research interests

Passive immunisation approaches, viral mediated antibody gene transfer, recombinant antibody production, virus-host interactions.
