Biography

Dr. Yeshawor born at Addis Ababa, Ethiopian and studied his elementary school at children Amba from Grade 1st up to Grade 5th and from 6th up to 8th grade studied in Cuba. And he completed his high school from 9th - 12th Megistu H/mariam comprehensive high school at Cuba. After that he got an opportunity to join at Agricultural University of Havana to study Veterinary Medicine and he got his first degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He returned back to his homeland when accomplished  his higher education. Then gave service on his profession 3 years at North Gondar as district veterinarian, 5 years at Assosa ATVET Collage and 4 years at Alage ATVET collage as senior Instructor. Since 2013 until now day  I am working at National Animal Health Diagnostic and Investigation Center (NAHDIC), Sebeta, Ethiopia as researcher. He continued his post graduate study in Addis Ababa University and he got his 2nd degree in Veterinary Gynecology and Obstetrics (VOG). Currently Yeshawork Begashaw reached to the position of  researcher I and he is a coordinator of Acarology  laboratory at NAHDIC. In his profession he participated in many national and International different projects MERS-Cov, PPR and Echinococusis funded by FAO and at national level he actively participated on risk based surveillance tick and tick borne disease particularly on (ECF) East Coast Fever disease, and has published 3 national and International research papers.

Research interests

 My research interest  area was on tick and tick borne disease.

Projects you're working on

1. Molecular characterization of young stock mortality causing pathogens and Blindness incidence in dairy farms of Addis Ababa and its surrounding areas

2. Currently I am engaged in Q Fever Project  research that will be conducted jointly NAHDIC and DTRA. The project was in preparation phase to be started as soon as possible.
