Biography

Robert has 30 years’ experience in large animal vaccine R&D, product development and manufacture. This includes working on the recombinant sheep measles and hydatid vaccines, both of which were world first developments. He managed manufacturing and was the GM of Technical Operations at Schering-Plough’s Clostridial vaccine plant in Upper Hutt, NZ. He then worked for AgResearch, NZ before moving to AgVax where he supported Toxovax® and Androvax® and helped develop and register Campyvax4®. As part of the subsequent acquisitions he worked for Intervet and what is now MSD Animal Health. In 2011 Robert moved to Australia to be Research, Development and Licensing manager at Virbac Australia. Here he leads an R&D team of 15 who collectively manage an exciting new product portfolio focussing on vaccines and parasiticides for mainly sheep and cattle.
