He completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology-Marine Biotechnology at the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, India. Previously, he obtained his M.Sc in Biotechnology at the Periyar University, Salem, India.

His research interests mainly focus on the development of recombinant vaccines for cultivable freshwater fishes.

He has authored more than 12 peer-reviewed articles in reputed international and national journals apart from a book chapter and has presented his works at more than 10 national and international conferences.
