Ali
Shahzad Ali, is working as Assistant Professor in the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. He got M.Sc, M. Phil. and Ph.D. Degrees in Zoology from Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. His research work is related to ONE HEALTH, Wildlife Epidemiology, Fish Diseases, Zoonotic Diseases, Microbial Diversity and Ecology, Genomics, Molecular Evolution, Vaccine Production. He is trained in ONE HEALTH from Duke University, USA; DUKE-NUS Centre, National University of Singapore and Friedrich Loeffler Institute, Germany. He is the first researcher in the country who fused in detailed on Zoonotic diseases like Brucellosis in animals and human using serological, culture and molecular techniques. His work provided first evidence that Brucella abortus is the causative agent of brucellosis in Pakistan. Moreover, his research work related to Glanders, Influenza virus, Corona viruses and Aeromonas sp is published in international and national peer reviewed journals. He is certified Biosafety trainer from American Society for Microbiology. Current his is working as Principle Investigator/Team Member in HEC, Pakistan, ALP-PARC, Pakistan, US State Department, DTRA, USA and German Foreign Office funded projects. He presented his research work in international (Germany/Jordan/Malaysia/USA) and nation conferences as poster and oral presentations. He has published multiple international and national research papers, abstracts and books.
