Biography

I am currently working as lecturer in the Department of Animal Sciences, University College of Agriculture, University of Sargodha. I did my DVM degree in 2005 and started my post-graduation in veterinary microbiology from the same university. I completed my M.Sc. Honors (Veterinary Microbiology) in 2007. I studied prevalence of Mycoplasma bovis in clinical and sub-clinical mastitis during my MSc Honors. I started my professional career as Veterinary Officer in Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab. In July 2008, I joined University of Sargodha as a lecturer in the Department of Animal Sciences. In 2012 I was awarded with the scholarship by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan to do PhD from Austria. I got admission in doctoral program at University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria. I developed real time qPCR for the quantification and detection of Histomonas meleagridis a protozoan parasite which causes Histomonosis in poultry. After completion of my PhD in 2016, I joined back the University of Sargodha in February 2016. Currently I am engaged in teaching and research activities at University College of Agriculture, University of Sargodha, Sargodha.
