Biography

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Wollega University in the Veterinary Laboratory Technology department on July 25, 2015. I have specialized in Master of Veterinary Science in Veterinary Parasitology from Addis Ababa University College of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture since June 23, 2020. I have also been certified with a postgraduate diploma in poultry medicine on behalf of the tripartite collaborations of Addis Ababa University at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture, National Veterinary School of Toulouse in France, and global vaccine Productions center called CEVA regarding the poultry disease. I have trained on Good research ethics and Ethics in Animal Research at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture on the Bishoftu campus since June 13, 2021. In collaboration with Bako Technical and Vocational education training center and I was certified with the certificate of Center of Competence on Animal Health Care Service (AHCS) in April 2021.

I am currently working at Addis Ababa University at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture. I am serving at AAU-CVMA in the position of Chief Technical Assistant. Besides delivering the practical sessions of the course I have seven years of different work experience involving the study of internal and external parasites affecting domestic animals both in research and regular work activities. I have a little bit of training in molecular laboratory work and if I do have an opportunity to study molecular study I hopefully succeed one of my future.

Research interests

Study on phenotypic characterizations of indigenous sheep and goats for milk quality, Study on identification of Cryptosporidium, Eimeria, and Giardia infections in livestock animals. study on the potency of tick pathogens as zoonotic diseases of humans.  In vitro anthelmintic efficacy trial against an isolate of haemonchus contortus in sheep. In vitro anthelmintic efficacy trial against an isolate of Trichostorngylus columbriformis in sheep.
