Biography

Dr. Surajit Baksi is a renowned veterinarian with specialization in poultry and animal science and profound experience of 22 years.

He has pursued Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science from West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata. He excelled further with Masters Degree in Veterinary Microbiology.

Dr. Baksi dedicated himself to the research work in veterinary sciences and completed Ph. D. in Veterinary Microbiology from West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata in 2005.

Dr. Baksi has huge experience in research, quality control, quality assurance and technical services in Indian poultry and live stock industry. He is well known personality as a veterinary doctor and technical expert in India. He is associated with Hester Biosciences Limited, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a leading animal vaccines and health products manufacturer, as Associate Director Technical Services. He has also been associated with charity activities from Jivdaya Charitable Trust, Ahmedabad. He is also nominee of Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Government of India.

There are so many national and international conferences Dr. Baksi has attended and been invited to deliver informative presentations to animal health industries and governments globally. As his involvement in research is very deep, he has published 40 research papers in national and international journals.

Dr. Baksi has been awarded as “Best Citizen of India Gold Medal Award” and “Rashtriya Gaurav Awars”. He is a fellow of Society of Environmental Sciences (F. S. E. Sc.) and Society for Sciences (F. S. Sc.). He has been involved in development of many new products, trainings and audits in poultry and animal health industry. He is a professional member of 25 different societies of India who are engaged in research and development in animal health industry.
