Biography

Running a PhD in Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the moment in Ahmadu Bello University School of Post Graduate Students. Obtained my Masters degree in Veterinary Epidemiology (Field) from the MacArthur Center for Excellence in Veterinary Epidemiology in collaboration with the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine Ahmadu Bello University in 2016. My DVM was obtained in 2011 in the same University. I have worked on Rabies and Newcastle disease in my DVM project and Masters Research. I have also been involved in Rabies outbreak investigation and control in Zaria with the Rabies Intervention Control Committee as well as with the War Against Rabies Foundation of which I am the Secretary General.

In my PhD program I intend to work on Canine Parvovirus enteritis and Canine Distemper. I had used Dr Sears method to produce hyperimmune sera for the treatment of neurological affected canine distemper patients in my Small Animal Practice at Saint Jerome's Veterinary Clinic Palladan Zaria Nigeria.

As an epidemiologist I have volunteered since 2018 under the Npower N health program to act as the local epidemiologist at the Kwangila Primary Health Care facility where we were able to train and retrain the community health workers as well as students on industrial attachment at the facility.

At my veterinary clinic, St Jerome's Veterinary Clinic Palladan Zaria, I have been able to set up an internship program for both undergraduate and graduate students of veterinary medicine as well as related courses, since 2018. The Internship Program has trained over 50 interns with certification.

Being a general practitioner has kept me abreast with most domestic and wild life species presented to SJVCZ Palladan Zaria for veterinary intervention.

I never lose a Holy Curiosity about unraveling the mysteries of the universe.

I strongly believe and advocate for the One World One Health approach to public health. So therefore I have always tried to bring in as much professionals into the public health team.
