I am a microbiologist working in the Department of Clinical Virology, in a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital, attached to Christian Medical College, Vellore, in South India. My duties include both serology and molecular-based diagnostics, academic exercises ranging from didactic sessions to practical demonstrations, and research responsibilities such as planning, organizing data, and manuscript writing. Additionally, I am the deputy quality manager of the virology proficiency testing program run by the department and am involved in its day-to-day activities. I have previously worked as a Technical Consultant for the Labs for Life Project, which was implemented in India by a CDC-BD-NACO-CMAI partnership.
