Biography

Muhammad Abid graduated with a bachelor's degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2013 and an MPhil Microbiology degree in 2016 from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, Pakistan.

In 2017, he got a fully funded scholarship to pursue his PhD degree at Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences where he worked on the development of Herpesvirus-vectored vaccine. He obtained his PhD degree in December 2019. In 2021, Muhammad joined Viral Oncogenesis group at the Pirbright Institute as molecular virologist. Currently, his area of research is recombinant vaccine development under the supervision of Prof Venugopal Nair OBE.
