Biography

I am a post-doctoral researcher at CEMA/UNITID, Nairobi, Kenya, with a biomedical science background currently working on the zoonotic transmission of MERS-Coronavirus in camels and humans in Kenya. I have previously worked on projects focused on understanding the immunobiology of several infectious diseases in humans and animals (HIV/AIDs, African Swine Fever, Malaria, Bovine Viral Diarrhoea and East Coast Fever) with the aim of informing the design of better vaccines and therapeutics. I am also interested in improving scientific engagement and capacity building in Africa.
