Biography

My name is Katalin Foldes. I was originally born in Hungary and now I'm a postdoc at The Pirbright Institute. I study novel approaches for vaccine attenuation by determining viral factors that affect Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV) virulence. I did my undergrad and master degree in biology at University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest and my PhD in veterinary virology at Ankara University, Veterinary Faculty.

Research interests

Identifying virus-host interactions and viral factors to develop novel approaches for vaccine development. Recently I'm focusing on Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV) and i'm used to work with Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus (CCHFV).
