Biography
Fabio Pasin (ORCID: 0000-0002-9620-4301) is a Juan de la Cierva fellow at the Institute for Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology (IBMCP, Spanish National Research Council, Spain). With a main focus on RNA viruses, he is dedicated to advancing our understanding of cell antiviral immunity and to developing new solutions for crop protection and breeding. He has authored 20 peer-reviewed articles and 1 book chapter. His outputs were published in top journals of the fields of Microbiology, Virology, Plant Science, and Biotechnology. He has contributed critical knowledge and synthetic biology frameworks to facilitate the biological characterization of viruses as well as tools for plant biotechnology and crop trait engineering. Dr Pasin is the inventor of international patent applications and granted patents.

Dr Pasin is dedicated to advancing our understanding of cell antiviral immunity and to developing new solutions for crop protection and plant-based manufacturing of biologics.
