Biography
Kelly is an invertebrate pathologist, specialising in shrimp and crustacean diseases. Kelly leads the work of the Crustacean Health Theme with Cefas, she has considerable experience in the diagnosis of disease in experimental, farmed and wild aquatic animals, with a particular interest in novel and emerging pathogens of crustacea.
Research interests
Kelly's work focuses on aquatic pathogens, and combines approaches based upon histopathology, transmission electron microscopy and molecular systematics for the classification of novel and emerging pathogens, in particular diseases of crustaceans. Kelly has over 20 years’ experience in the diagnosis of disease in experimental, farmed and wild aquatic animals.
