        **Ruzaiq Omar - Scientific Biography**
Ruzaiq Omar is a distinguished virologist with a Master’s degree in Medical Virology from the University of Cape Town, where he specialized in vaccine engineering. His research has significantly contributed to the development of recombinant vaccines, including dual vaccines against Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) and Bovine Ephemeral Fever (BEF). With several peer-reviewed publications, Ruzaiq has a strong background in designing, developing, and testing veterinary vaccines, particularly in the context of Southern Africa’s unique phylogenetic landscape.
His expertise extends to project management within laboratory settings, where he has overseen the creation and testing of multiple vaccine candidates. Ruzaiq's scientific achievements are complemented by his entrepreneurial ventures and operational leadership in various sectors, including property development for various JSE listed companies and import/export retail.
