Biography
I am a fisheries scientist specializing in fish biology. Currently, my research is focused on fish health and disease management. This is in connection with my postdoctoral research project on fish vaccines, specifically targeting bacterial infections in aquaculture. My work involves exploring vaccination strategies to enhance disease resistance in farmed fish species.
As part of my research, I am conducting a national survey on vaccines in aquaculture, and a systematic review and meta-analysis of Streptococcus vaccines in tilapia, analyzing their efficacy, immunological responses, and challenges associated with vaccine development and deployment in aquaculture settings. My broader interests include bacterial pathogenesis in aquatic species, antimicrobial resistance, and the role of vaccines in reducing antibiotic dependency in aquaculture.
