Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Scientist at The Pirbright Institute, where I am developing a non-infectious serological diagnostic tool for Rinderpest—a key contribution to global disease preparedness and post-eradication surveillance. My previous research includes developing broadly neutralising monoclonal antibodies against HIV-1, characterising Dengue virus evolution, and evaluating vaccine candidates for RSV and SARS-Cov-2. I have also contributed to establishing a National Virus Repository for Dengue in India and supporting GLP-compliant vaccine trials for SARS-Cov-2. With expertise in viral genomics, protein expression, and bioinformatics, I am committed to translational research that bridges human and veterinary health. I am particularly interested in diagnostics and vaccines that support One Health strategies and strengthen outbreak response capacities in LMIC settings.
Research interests
My research interests include the development of diagnostic tools and vaccine candidates for viral diseases affecting both humans and animals. I focus on viral pathogenesis, immune responses to infection, and the molecular characterisation of emerging and re-emerging viruses. I am particularly interested in serological assay development, viral antigen expression, and the application of bioinformatics to understand viral evolution and support vaccine design.
