Biography
I am a PhD student from the Biochemical Engineering department at UCL. My project is focusing on engineering viral vectors to improve their efficacy and stability for vaccine delivery.
Research interests
My core research interest is in the engineering and formulation of advanced biologic therapeutics and vaccines for enhanced efficacy and stability. Building on a foundation in AAV (Adeno-Associated Virus) capsid engineering from my PhD, I am particularly interested in developing and evaluating non-invasive, mucosal vaccine delivery platforms, specifically sublingual and oral routes. My work aims to leverage sophisticated chemical engineering and pharmaceutical science principles to address critical challenges such as improving vaccine thermostability, overcoming biological barriers (e.g., enzymatic degradation, mucosal permeability), and optimizing immunogenicity.
