Biography
I am a student at the University of Calgary, conducting research under the supervision of Dr. Diego Nobrega. My academic and research interests lie in the intersection of public health and data science, with a particular focus on antimicrobial resistance. I am actively involved in projects that use a range of methodologies including epidemiological surveys, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, time series analysis, and infodemiology. Through these approaches, I aim to better understand health behaviors, disease patterns, and public perceptions, ultimately contributing to more effective and evidence-informed health interventions.
Research interests
My research interests center around infectious disease epidemiology and public health informatics, with a particular focus on antimicrobial resistance (AMR). I am interested in applying a range of analytical methods—including epidemiological survey design, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, time series modeling, and infodemiology using digital data sources—to better understand patterns of disease transmission, public health behavior, and risk communication. I am especially passionate about leveraging data-driven approaches to inform evidence-based policy and improve health outcomes both locally and globally.
