Biography
I'm an Assistant Research Professor at the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge. I'm an elected member of the Global Young Academy. I was previously at the Institut Pasteur and the University of Hong Kong. My research focuses on pathogen evolution and immunobiology, particularly the development of computational and laboratory methods to characterise and predict the dynamics of transmission, evolution, and pathogenesis in seasonal (e.g., influenza, dengue) and emerging pathogens (e.g., SARS-CoV-2). I made contributions to quantify the impact of large-scale climate patterns and population movements on the global outbreaks of dengue and influenza. I'm interested in vaccine antigen design and synthetic serology. I serve as an Associate Editor for BMC Medicine and a Guest Editor for PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
