Biography
I am a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate with a research focus on virology, particularly bovine ephemeral fever virus. My thesis investigated the antigenic and molecular characteristics of viral glycoproteins in different passage systems. I am interested in vaccine development, immunoinformatics, and emerging viral diseases in cattle. By joining IVVN, I hope to connect with researchers in vaccinology, exchange knowledge, and contribute to collaborative projects in the field.
Research interests
I am deeply interested in virology, with a focus on understanding virus–host interactions and mechanisms of viral infection. My work is also connected to vaccine development, particularly exploring approaches that enhance immune protection against veterinary viral pathogens. I am engaged in immunoinformatics as a tool to predict epitopes and support rational vaccine design. Additionally, I follow emerging viral diseases that threaten animal health and aim to study their epidemiology and control strategies. A key area of my research involves investigating antigenic variation and its impact on immune evasion, diagnostics, and vaccine effectiveness.
Projects you're working on
Investigation of antigenic variation of bovine ephemeral fever virus during serial passages in suckling mouse brain and cell culture. Interested in computational epitope prediction and viral vaccine design.
