Research interests

Since I was in High School, I have believed that biology is an important factor in life. I wanted to develop my knowledge of living organisms. Understanding the interactions between the various systems of a cell (DNA, RNA, Proteins) as well as learning how these interactions are regulated is a very passionate field. This circumstance stimulated me to attend faculty of natural science at the University of Dschang. I am particularly interested by molecular biology because I have come to understand the importance of this approach towards improving life conditions. For example, there are many human and animal diseases which still do not have reliable diagnostic and control tools (Trypanosomosis).Molecular biology is a hope for a possible cure for currently incurable conditions such as AIDS, cancer and some forms of hepatitis. Currently, Africa which is the eco-center of emerging diseases lacks a critical mass of health professionals trained to PhD level. The world is facing new health problem namely emerging and re-emerging diseases. This demand to renew our control methods. So the need to create innovative programs to improve health has become obvious. That is why i am interested by a scientific carrier in vaccine development.
