Biography
I am Senior Lecturer at Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling. I am a microbiologist with broad interests in understanding the microbiology of aquaculture systems, particularly the bacterial components. Major themes of my research include describing the problem of antimicriobial resistance (AMR) and developing solutions such as vaccines for fish.
Research interests
Vaccine/drug target discovery in aquaculture pathogens; microbiology of aquaculture systems; development of alternative hosts for understanding bacterial pathogens of fish; antimicrobial resistance of aquatic bacterial pathogens; host-pathogen interactions; role of probiotics in aquaculture systems
