Biography
I hold a degree in Veterinary Medicine and a three-year postgraduate specialization in Animal Health from the University of Sassari. I built my professional background working in research institutes in different countries, including INRAE and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), where I focused on animal infectious diseases.
I later joined the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise (IZSAM), where I worked for nearly ten years on the control and preparedness for transboundary animal diseases (TADs) such as PPR, RVF, AHS, and LSD. My work covered virology, laboratory diagnosis, surveillance, and the development and evaluation of vaccines.
I subsequently joined the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Lazio e della Toscana (IZSLT) in Rome as an Animal Health officer.
Since 2022 I am Animal Health Specialist at FAO. Research interests
