I am the manager of the International Veterinary Vaccinology Network, in this role I am responsible for facilitating the delivery of the overarching objectives of the network through managing IVVN activities including networking activities, funding schemes, training awards and outreach activities. I drive the ambitions of the IVVN strategic vision by facilitating network activities, building successful partnerships and fostering collaborations with stakeholders ensuring success to ensure long-term sustainability of the network.
My journey to this role has come through a passionate interest in the impact One Health research can have and from over 10 years research experience working on infectious diseases in the veterinary and medical setting internationally.
I have a specific interest in emerging diseases including zoonotic pathogens, understanding the interface between animal and human health, developing veterinary vaccines to aid in better human health and have previously worked on field evaluation of veterinary vaccines.
My role allows me to work with global actors in the animal and One Health field, this has been helped by previous roles of coordinating multi-consortia research grants and specifically managing the UK Veterinary Vaccinology Network which subsequently became the International Veterinary Vaccinology Network.
I am passionate about leading these networking activities as well as developing science strategy going forward. Research interests
