I completed a PhD in Antibiotic Resistance in Escherichia coli before working with Tuberculosis as a post-doctoral research fellow for several years. I am now a Senior Lecturer in Molecular Bacteriology and have worked on TB (both human and bovine) for over 15 years. I am interested in the genetic basis of virulence and host adaptation in both human and bovine TB. I am currently funded by the BBSRC.
